PCR Testing for Human Viruses
The following PCR assays are available to detect, viral pathogens in human and animal tissues. We set up a panel that includes positive and negative controls for each virus and also includes internal controls (such as beta-actin or G3PDH) for the integrity of isolated nucleic acid. For safety assessment of MCB we recommend a PCR panel including AAV, CMV, EBV, HBV, HCV (RT-PCR), HHV6, HHV7, HHV8, HIV1, HIV2, HPV, HTLV-I, HTLV-II, Parvo B19, SV40, Retroviruses.
